Meet your community champion!
After immigrating to Australia in 1980 from the apartheid regime of South Africa, Pye settled with her family of 7 in Queensland.
Pye is a working mother with three adult children and has over 30 years' experience in leadership in sporting organisations. Recently working as the Operations manager of Western Pride Football Club a National Premier League Club, located at Briggs Road, Raceview.
As the President of Springfield United Football Club, Pye created the fastest growing sporting club in Southeast Queensland.
Currently working in the banking sector, Pye has worked in the financial sector for over 10 years. Pye actively engages with the community, not by taking a quick selfie, but by listening and actioning community concerns or requests by assisting then following up with constituents.
Pye likes to keep fit by taking part in Park Runs around Ipswich on a Saturday morning, as well as during the week. Pye also is a football commentator for Football Queensland.
As your community champion Pye will advocate for a community that is vibrant, connected and one that cares.
Community vibrancy is a shared vision with a clear identity and brand that can activate a place and create a strong sense of belonging. Pye will advocate for community events, programs and activities the enhance community engagement.

Community connectivity with a diverse and inclusive culture, identifies a wide range of needs to connect community through a seamless transport system which includes roads, trains and bikeways. Whilst feeling secure as we move about our community.

Community that cares, sets to increase readiness by understanding the local needs by setting priorities that identifies and implements strategies. By doing so it shows community that someone cares in times of need.

Shyamlal - the number of snakes coming into residents home are on the increase. How can council help in removing these sometimes dangerous creatures and relocating them away

Hi-Vis interaction with the community is a great way to let voters know more about Pye. Morning and afternoon shifts are required.
Two weeks before the actual election day, polling booths are open during the day for those that like to get in early or cannot make it on Election Day.
Volunteers are needed for Election Day. To cover all 15 booths, 100 volunteers are required. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
We will have a fundraising night, as well as a Trivia Night. After the election night, Pye will have a night to thank all volunteers.
Mobile offices will be held around the Division to answer all your concerns. You can see where all our mobile offices are via that tab.
